Christmas Offering

Our Christmas offering this year of approximately £45 was donated to Yeovil Hospitals ASPIRE Project who help stroke victims and their carers to adjust to an altered way of life.

New Minister

Saturday 10th December saw the Induction of the Reverend Stella Hayton as the Minister for the South Somerset Group of the United Reformed Church. The Induction Service took place at the United Reformed Church (URC), Princes Street, Yeovil.

Stella has been the Minister at Shipley joint Methodist/United Reformed Church and Bingley United Reformed Church in Yorkshire, where she has been since her Ordination into the Ministry in 2003. Following a visit to the area to lead worship at Yeovil and Martock in July a joint meeting of the membership of the five Churches issued a call to her to become their Minister.

Along with her husband John and cat Barney she moved into the manse in Yeovil. Her Induction service at 2.30pm on 10th December was led by the Moderator for the South West Province of the United Reformed Church, the Rev David Grosch–Miller and Ministers from other Churches, along with other local dignitaries, were present to welcome her into the area.
