For other organisations

The church supports a large number of other charities by raising money in a variety of ways. Over the past few years we have held a Strawberry Tea event in June in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The Christmas offertory is donated to a deserving cause with the 2011 collection going to Yeovil Hospital ASPIRE who help stroke victims and their families, past benefactors include The Salvation Army Homlessness Services, Yeovil Street Pastors and Sightsavers International. Other events have also supported Children's Hospice South West, Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance, The Lord's Larder Food Bank (Yeovil) and Christian Aid to name a few.

This March (2012) we will again support Christian Aid by hosting a Super Soup Lunch as part of the Bowl over Poverty appeal. In April we will hold an exhibition of craft asking for entry donations to support a worthy cause.

For The Church

The church has to be self funding for the majority of its work. This includes keeping the building in working order and any modernisation that may be required.

At the present time we have had the windows in the sanctuary replaced with new double glazed windows and the guttering and fascias replaced. The congregation have carried out extensive decorating inside the building and work in the graveyard in a bid to reduce costs.

There are other parts of the building that need renovation to ensure that the building is available for the use of the whole community. This includes improvements to disabled access and a modernisation of the kitchen facilities.
